Patricia Cronie started her career at TeleAruba on the Caribbean island of Aruba, before moving to the Caribbean and Surinamese editorial desk at De Wereldomroep and later joining the Dutch Public Broadcasters (NPO). Throughout her career, she has worked on some of the most prominent Dutch TV programs, such as Pauw, Jinek, and NOS Journaal. As the editor-in-chief of De Wereld Draait Door, she led a team of 50 professionals, producing a daily talk show that attracted millions of viewers. Patricia presented on TV channel NPO 2 and Radio 5. Covered the American and Surinamese elections and edited the daily news on TV channel NPO 1 and Radio 1. She worked as a senior editor on the investigative journalism TV show ‘Scheefgroei’ about inequality for NPO 1, directed a podcast series about first- and second-generation immigrants for Radio 1 called ‘De goede immigrant,’ radio documentaries on topics like forced prostitution in Latvia, the Saami in Finnish Lapland and TV series on racism and discrimination, called ‘Uitgesloten.’ Patricia’s role on Expeditie Nederland (NPO 2), where she presented, directed, and produced reports from Aruba, further sharpened her ability to create community-driven content that truly connects with audiences.

Patricia excels at translating complex societal, environmental, and economic issues into engaging, audience-centered content across various platforms, from TV and podcasts to live online events. Her expertise spans broadcast journalism, digital media, and corporate communications. She interviewed Dutch people for weekly segments on the international Dutch-language TV channel BVN and appeared as a guest on De Wereld Draait Door, Pauw en Witteman, and BNN Today. Patricia has presented and interviewed Floortje Dessing for an internal event for PwC partners, moderated The Future, an international online event by NEP and Media Monks and conducted interviews with secondary school students for the Scheefgroei program with Jeroen Pauw. She is editor-in-chief on a podcast series from the Peter R. de Vries Foundation x Tonny Media about Cold cases with interviews with the families of the victims. And directs the podcast series ‘Door met Dementie’ for people that take care of their loved ones with Dementia, by the Alzheimer Nederland Foundation & Tonny Media. She is a firm believer in reflecting society truthfully in all her work. She aims to foster understanding through authentic and impactful storytelling. 

 As the founder of Rare Media, a creative agency specializing in impactful journalism and authentic storytelling, she works with international companies, broadcasters and foundations on a wide range of projects, including internal corporate talk shows, global webinars for companies like ING, Philips, and PwC, podcast series for ABN AMRO and PWC. Plus documentaries that highlight important social issues. With her Surinamese-Dutch background and extensive experience in Aruba, Curaçao, and Suriname, Patricia is a trusted voice in telling relevant stories that reflect diverse communities. Whether moderating, producing, or presenting, Patricia is committed to showing a true reflection of society in all her work.
